Hope to see everyone tonight at 6:45! Our class is wearing red shirts. As for what to wear with that red shirt...any shorts, jeans, pants or skirts will do (as long as they look nice!)

No Homework This Week
Because we have no spelling words this week and will not be meeting in reading groups during class, we will not be having a formal homework packet this week.

Hopefully everyone enjoyed their spring breaks as much as my family and I did. Got caught up on a few things around the house, was able to get a couple mini-vacations in and was able to sleep in past 5:00 every single day! :) It was a much needed rest!
But, amazingly enough, we are already back in the swing of things and heading fast toward April!
This week we will be covering the following topics:
Spelling: Review
Math: Reviewing Time, Money & Graphs
Social Studies: Fairy Tales & Folk Tales
Science: Food Pyramid
Also, don't forget that this Thursday is our 1st Grade Program. Please come out and support them. The kids are so excited...and so am I! I can't wait to see the fruits of all of their practice!

March 8-12
This week we will be covering the following in class:
Math - Money (adding collections of like coins)
Science - Oceans
Social Studies - Open House Preparation
Spelling - (Word Families -ate & -ale) gate, skate, date, whale, tale, am, into, will, now
And don't forget the this week is Book Fair AND Open House!!!! Our class will be visiting the book fair on Friday afternoon. But, if you would like to come visit the bookfair with your child feel free to come tomorrow from 10:30-11:30 to visit the bookfair and eat lunch with your child. Or you may visit the bookfair before and after school. :)
Also, we really hope to see you on Thursday evening for our Open House. We have been learning about oceans and are excited to show you some of the neat things we have added to our schema!

March 1-5
Can you believe it is March?!?!?!
I think I say that just about every month, but I think more than ever before, this year is just seeming to fly by! :) We are already preparing for our annual Open House next Thursday and having a blast doing it! The kids have been having a great deal of fun researching oceans, preparing their powerpoints for you to enjoy and working on some beautiful crafts to transform our room into the ocean itself! We sincerely hope that every one of you will be able to join us next Thursday evening. :)
