November 16-20

Dear Parents,

Don't forget November 16-20 is our bookfair week. Our class was able to get a "sneak peek" at the bookfair selections this past Thursday and each student was given an opportunity to write down some of the books that they would like to purchase. Hopefully you were able to take a moment and see what caught their interest! :) We will be visiting the bookfair as a class again on November 19th. If you forget to send the money in on Thursday, feel free to send it in on Friday and I will send your child down to the bookfair at that time. We will have many parent volunteers on hand to help them with their selections.

Don't forget, though, to include 8.25% tax when figuring out how much money to send! :)

As for our curriculum during the week of November 16-20, we will be learning about the following:

Social Studies: Maps & Cardinal Directions
Writing: 6 Traits - Voice
Math: Review & CBA #3
Science: Scientists & Inventors
Spelling: Word Families "it" and "in" - fit, hit, spit, skin, win, tin, and, see, to, you

And lastly, your child brought home a "passport application" today in his/her folder. Please fill that out with your child and return it to school by Friday, November 20th. We will need that form for our Holidays Around the World unit that will start the week we get back from break.

Can't believe we only have 5 more days of school until Thanksgiving break! This year is flying by!!!!!
